Why Prenzelholm?

I’ve lived in Prenzlauer Berg (Berlin). I’m living in Stockholm now. There’s a bunch of things that would make a mix of both places THE place: Prenzelholm.

Prenzlauer Berg

Greifswalderstr., Berlin

Prenzlauer Berg bars, but Stockholm cafés. Prenzlauer Berg apartment prices, but Stockholm interior. Prenzlauer Berg Currywurst, but Stockholm healthy food culture. Prenzlauer Berg’s free spirits, but Stockholm folk’s style.

This list could go on forever. Of course, as we all now, Prenzlauer Berg is about as Scandinavian as it gets in Germany. Berlin is a constant inspiration for most of Stockholm’s hip areas. But you know how they say “once you’ve experienced both first-hand, you want more than a copy”. You wish you could have the best of both worlds.

Having the best of two worlds is a symbol for how I feel about my life in general. I want to be among cool people, but alone-time is my favorite thing. I want to travel, but I love being at home. I work in marketing, but I hate consumption. I want to live in the woods, but I like the city’s anonymity.

So, that’s the story behind this name.
